Abstract
In the literature, the importance of urban dynamics have been suggested to explain how developing countries’ process of structuration materalize. The aim of the present article is to revisit the grand classics within this field, and point out the potential implications of contemporary contributions to the understanding of the issue at hand. It argues that the urban dynamics could be understood to be a expanding concept, embedding a vast plethora of sub-conceptual components that may have a significant impact for our understanding. In perspective, this article also point out a number of directions for future research that are deemed to be fruitful.
